Sales Representative:
Based out of our Salinas Location

Golden Gate Petroleum is seeking a Petroleum Sales Representative to be based out of our Salinas Location. The Sales Representative’s main focus is to sell GGP’s biodiesel and other petroleum products to existing and potential customers. This position is also responsible for marketing GGP’s biodiesel and petroleum products to customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Delivers superior customer service.
  • Able to pass drug screening
  • Experience working with or understanding basics concepts of an engine and machinery.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Computer knowledge, including Word Processing, Excel and the Internet.
  • Ability to work independently with the ability to produce.
  • Some mechanical background including the ability to recognize signs to correct operation failure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
  • Ability to SELL OUR PRICE & CLOSE the deal.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry related business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write sales reports, business correspondence, and marketing tools.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to sales related situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to prepare and give sales presentations using Power Point software
  • Experience in heavy equipment either rental or maintenance or farm equipment or fertilizer business is a plus.
