Golden Gate Racing, the Richard Childress Racing’s primary Driver Development team, owns the #21 of Ryan Foster and the #31 of Tim McCreadie. Both drivers are currently running the NASCAR Grand National Tour.

“We are very excited to have such a prestigious company approach us for a sponsorship and immediately sign to become a spotlight sponsor for our entire season.” said Jim Offenbach, team owner and head of Golden Gate Meat Company of San Francisco.

“This is a perfect match: our organizations are both based in the San Francisco Bay Area, share a common name and both are committed on a corporate level to healthier, “green” products that are environmentally sound and safer for humans.”

Established in 1946, Golden Gate Petroleum is one of the largest petroleum distributors in Northern California and Nevada.  The environmentally conscious firm began distributing biodiesel in 1999 which led to the creation of Golden Gate Biofuels, the largest biodiesel distributor on the West Coast. Since then demand increased so much that in 2005 Bay Biodiesel, LLC was established to produce a high ASTM quality Biodiesel.

Pat O’Keefe, CEO of Bay Biodiesel and Vice President of Golden Gate Petroleum shares Offenbach’s excitement over the new partnership.  “We have been around racing for many years and are familiar with Golden Gate Racing.  We have watched Ryan Foster race for years and he is a great talent. We are really looking forward to a long and beneficial relationship with GGRT, Jim Offenbach and the drivers.”

With only 3 races of the series completed, the Ryan Foster sits at the top of the Rookie points and 10th in overall points.  This weekend Ryan will be racing at Elko Speedway in Minnesota in the Minnesota 150 a unique “Combination Race” which pits the Grand National West drivers against the Grand National East drivers.

Preparations are being made to ensure that the new sponsor gets prime media exposure at the race.  TV coverage on HDNET and a re-broadcast on SPEED TV will help jumpstart the potential value of the partnership for everyone.
